That obituary for Bridget is absolutely great.....a big Thankyou.
I feel so uplifted with all the help that I have been given on this topic  and so quickly.... I am so impressed and grateful. I might now be able to track members of the family down in the USA and get more info.
If it is possible to glean any more info about the family in Buncrana that would be fantastic.
Thanks again
Ed

Hello :)

When I saw this post I was very excited as I'm also researching the Bradley family in Inishowen as well. My family are mainly from Meenamullaghan.

However, I don't think we are the same family :-\

A few years ago I found a website that was very interesting and I just looked to see if it had Rodger Bradley on it and it does.....

http://www.gremmert.com/getperson.php?personID=I45715&tree=ardeneva

You may be one of the three sources that are listed there...if so sorry..... if not.....

Now I don't know anything about the owner of the site but you might want to take a look and perhaps contact them. Can't hurt:) They may not have any more information than you do but sharing info does wonders.

Well I stand corrected about a connection to any Bradleys of Ballinlough....the townland Ballinlough sounded so familiar so I went checking.

My Great Uncle William Bradley of Meenamullaghan married a Teresa Bradley (yes same last name but different Bradley family). Teresa was from Ballinlough. They married 27 January 1905.

Teresa's parents were Denis Bradley and Mary Breslin. They married in Buncrana in 1872 at St Mary's Cockhill. Denis' father was also a Denis Bradley.

Denis and his wife Mary are in the 1901 census in Ballinlough. I wonder what the connection is between Denis and Neal and Rodger?

I swear every Bradley has some connection to the other in Inishowen.... ::)

Thankyou "mab"......I'm inclined to agree with you......Denis, Neal and Roger must have been related .....maybe all brothers........I have heard the name Breslin before.....but cannot remember the context.

With the prompting from this forum I have found addresses in the state of Oregon which I will contact by "snail" mail......and maybe get some answers......the key to going forward with the problem was working out that the entry in the 1940 census for "Eunice Wmise" correctly interpreted is in fact "Annie Veronica".
This was only arrived at with the help of an old obituary that this forum provided.
Very grateful to all.......many thanks
Ed

As I mentioned Denis Bradley's father was also a Denis.

On the Griffiths evaluation there is a John Bradley and a Denis Bradley in Ballinlough. I always thought that they were brothers.

I looked up Rodger's marriage to Annie McCloskey and his father is John Bradley.

Denis and Neal and Rodger were perhaps cousins????

On that website you will noticed the names of individuals that provided info. I think one of them is definitely a contact in the US that you might want to get in contact with.

Good luck:)

It's a subscription site called Rootsireland.

Expensive but if you are very very careful and you have some facts you can get good results. I have something like 2000 free research points so I can fool around a bit:)

So far myself and my cousin have been very lucky. They don't have complete coverage. It's a bit hit or miss.
