Hi Greg

Thanks for the further info. You are certainly streets ahead of me.   Mum vaguely remembers
Some of the family going to Toronto, but can't remember details.  As I said she is still in touch with Maggie's family in Mallaig via Christmas cards.  Her husband died there but it must be over 30 years ago as I went to stay with her for a few days way back around 1980 and she was on her own then.  I remember she had a grand daughter called Rhona who was about my age. If I come across anything else I'll let you know.
Hope you enjoy your trip to BCK, I'm hoping to get up there sometime this year.

Best wishes Jean

Hi Greg,

I noticed your thread and thought I'd get in touch.  I'm David I'm a great grandson of William and Jessie.

My Grandad was James (their youngest son) who married Elizabeth Mair (Leebie) and may father is his youngest son John.

I need to read and understand everything in your thread but the bible Jean refers to I have, there are some conflicts in it I can't quite resolve so maybe you can help but I have the family tree back to around 1700 in Buckie.

Drop me a message.
