collision with stationary car near shepshed.
A nasty smash occurred on the Ashby road near blackbrook , about five miles from loughborough.shortly before midnight on saturday ,and resulted in three persons being injured .
Sidney cooper age 22 of markfield , was riding a motor cycle from coalville to mountsorrel, and was accompanied on the carrier by ivy Willialson age 19 of Coalville , and Athur Holden age 20 , of Hugglescote .
befoe reaching the spot were the accident happend .cooper Noticed several light flashes in the road way ,and complained of being dazzled .
he kept on riding , however and eventually crashed into a stationary motor -car.
all three riders were thrown to the ground and sustained injuries , Miss Williamson's left leg was badly brusied. Holden ,who was picked up in a semi conscious condition had several abrasions on the face , and cooper who was unconscious ,received several cuts and abrasions.
after being attended to by Dr griffin , of shepshed , the three injured persons were conveyed to the loughborough Hospital . on inquiry this morning we learned that they spent a fairly restful night and are well on the way to recovery.
