Post by: Beg Clonrode... on Monday 30 June 14 01:34 BST (UK) Any associated names ring a bell?
(Only Louisa, and Dudley unfortunately, but law administration and Ireland ring a bell)
Post by: minniehaha on Monday 30 June 14 02:52 BST (UK) Dudley.....A family name? Or am I just clutching at straws here??
Maybe - he was born a couple of years after DBH died
Post by: minniehaha on Monday 30 June 14 04:30 BST (UK) Re Captain Kenrick HILL: According to his obituary he too, farmed in the Hawkes Bay. However unlike George Stewart/Stuart HILL he was born in the "North of Ireland".
Yes but this GSH was grandson and grandnephew of big noises in the Dublin Police
Post by: Jean Price on Monday 30 June 14 05:16 BST (UK) A tree on Ancestry labelled "Crouse/Gill/Hartridge/Hill Family Tree" has a George Stewart Hill born 1811
Any chance that this is “my” George Stewart Hill born before 1819 and died at Warren Point, County Down 11-6-1860?

[We already had common children to tie them together and Karen is a normal Scandinavian short form of Katherine but I have now (30th June) applied for her death print-out.]
Post by: minniehaha on Monday 30 June 14 05:29 BST (UK) CAPTAIN KENRICK HILL, of Poraite, near Napier, is a very old colonist.
This is very tempting – but where is Kenneth?
