Ewart Holly - Lived: Kenya ~1940's?

It seems I am still a complete newbie when it comes to research!

When my father died, in his scanned family photo collection there was an image of a gentleman labelled Ewart Holly.  I know he lived in Kenya around the 1940's but this is all I know of him. I cannot find any birth, census or travel information for anyone of that name?! I'm intrigued why I cannot find more info.

Possibly him?

Ewart Holley, age 31, arrived London, England 12 Dec.1947 "Llanstephan Castle" from Mombassa, Kenya.

Birth: Ewart Holley (mmn Turner) Apr./June 1916 Calne registration district (Wiltshire, England) volume 5a page 134.

Death: Ewart Holley, born 12 May 1916 died Jan./Mar.1999 Poole registration district (Dorset, England)

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Found this:

Ewart HOLLEY, aged 31, travelling from Mombasa; shown as a business executive with an address: Hurn House, Hurn Road, Christchurch, Hants.  Arrived in London on 12 December 1947.   :-\
 
Possible marriage in Kensington in 1962.

Hi,

London Electoral Registers show what appears to be the couple who married in 1962, but only for a few years.  The wife (possibly a daughter with same name) seems to marry in 1984 so a possible divorce.

That is a amazing.  Thank you for the replies.  I searched but couldn't find any results, I really must be doing something wrong, now I know he exists I'll go back again. Thanks again everyone.

edit - I really shouldn't reply before the morning mug of coffee.  I didn't think of changing the name to Holley - think I've tracked down relatives on facebook and have approached them.  Thanks again.
