Leigh / Lee
« on: Wednesday 12 December 07 19:13 GMT (UK) »
I'd love to hear from anyone who may know anything about the 'Leigh's' from Ashton Upon mersey, Cheshire.  In particular Ann Leigh who was born c1791, I can't find any evidence of a marriage or death and she doesn't appear on any census returns.

Many thanks  :)

As "Leigh" is a place name in Lancashire, don't be surprised if your searches lead back to there. There are many Lee/Leighs in Wigan area.
Threlfall (Southport), Isherwood (lancs & Canada), Newbould + Topliss(Derby), Keating & Cummins (Ireland + lancs), Fisher, Strong& Casson (all Cumberland) & Downie & Bowie, Linlithgow area Scotland . Also interested in Leigh& Burrows,(Lancashire) Griffiths (Shropshire & lancs), Leaver (Lancs/Yorks) & Anderson(Cumberland and very elusive)
