This side of the family is on my wife's side and getting into the 1700's is something I think hasn't been done so far by the family. I managed to get back to the 1700's with my family tree with the help of rootschat a couple of years back. (Lloyd-Llanfachreth) Things were a bit more speculative by the time I got into the 1700's.
