Uniform identification
« on: Tuesday 21 October 14 20:48 BST (UK) »
Hi, I am helping my friend identify the military regiment that her great grandfather, Albert Perry, served in (see photo). We don't currently know his date of birth, but know he married Margaret Alcock in 1919.

There is more than one Albert Perry on Ancestry's records, so I can't be sure of his regiment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know when he died?
His date of birth and/or age at death should be on the death registration.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Good evening,

Three regiments have almost the same badge, Dorsets, Essex, and Northamptonshires. I would say it is the Essex regt as it appears to have a scroll at the bottom, the other two don't.

Stephens, Fuller, Tedham, Bennett, Ransome (Sussex)
Rider (Fulham)
Stephens (Somerset)
Kentfield (Essex)
