I am trying to find out who the parents of Albert Edward Thiselton were?

He married Minnie Eliza Pay in Durban in 1899.

He arrived in Durban in 1882.

You can find them on the 1901 census in London, returning to Durban later that year.

Their daughter Edna was born in Durban.

According to an earlier post on here regarding the Pay family Albert Edward's father was from Faversham in Kent, but there is no mention of his name.

I found the below in a post on Rootsweb requesting info on John William Thiselton and Mary Sophia might well be the Mary S in the family you have posted. If so it would mean Father Thomas Thiselton was Albert Edward's father.

It would also tie in with a thread on here that said Albert Edward's father was from Faversham.

I wonder if William Mathew's son Thomas Thiselton was the same as the one who was from Faversham and who was married to Mary Sophia?

Although the children do seem to vary expect for Ebenezer this could be the family in 1871 minus Albert?  They were living in Grove St/ Hampton Terrace, Hackney

There are estate files for both Albert and Minnie at the National Archives.  Generally speaking his estate file should give the name of his parents.  I suggest that you order a copy of it through eggsa.org

There is also a scan of their marriage certificate on familysearch, Natal marriages, scan number 279.  They were married on 20 June 1889.  At the archives there is also a copy of the anti-nuptial contract that they signed.

There is a tree on Anc that lists William's father as John Thiselton b 1803 Faversham and Mary Jackson b 1809 and there is this birth from a Non Confirmist Register

Father - John Thiselton Bookseller Stationer
Mother - Mary Thiselton Daughter of William Jackson Carpenter and Undertaker  34 William Street in the Parish of St ?? Edit Possibly Pancras Middlesex
