Death of William Sharp, 4 November 1886, Glendevon, Perthshire
« on: Thursday 10 October 13 21:53 BST (UK) »
Hi

I have been researching the Sharp family of Tillicoultry, Clackmannashire, where the above named was born in 1871, son of William Sharp and Christina Wright. The family were altogether in Alva in 1881, with William aged 10, but in subsequent census, William was missing. In 1891, the family are in Burnfoot, Glendevon, but again William wasn't with them. He died at Glendevon on 4th November 1886, of a pistol shot to the brain. The death record states there was a police inquest, so I wondered if a local newspaper of that area might carry a report. Can anyone help me further?

Tom
