Thanks for the replies
Mabel Bagshawe ...I find it so interesting about Barry and area..

Syljun...Yes,  you are correct ...William Bushen is listed as Hilda Mary's father and he is a Shipwright. and no doubt that 1897 address is correct .

Welsh newspapers on line   http://welshnewspapers.llgc.uk/en/home

Re J E Whitman - check the Merthyr Pioneer 11 July 1914 and 8 May 1915 for possible sightings.

Also spotted "William Bushen, shipwright" in the Weekly Mail, 26 May 1906.

1.would the Minister have more information about the couple then what is reported on the Marriage registration?
any tidbits in the book as Banns were read.....
2. would  Barry Island's 1904  Asst Consul J H Whitman  have had to keep a diary on his dealings / activities be required for each person he dealt with ie:   Michal RIIM /other spellings and signing at the Marriage of it would be wonderful if there was a notation of where Michal RIIM/RUM/RINN etc came from   ???

thank you all who respond or take the time to read this. I have a really tangled web... so to speak.....
