Moore and French & Co

Moore and French & Co traded in Galway up to 1830, when the partnership was dissolved. The partners appear to have been John Moore and Col. Anthony French. The outstanding debt appears to have fallen on John Moore.

Please can anyone tell us anything about this business? What its trade was, where it tsaded from, etc.

We are trying to determine whether the John Moore associated with the business was Capt. John Moore, RN, who is listed in Shop Street in 1824, then at Merchants Road and finally at Back Street in 1849.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
