Hi Sandra...
Yes, I have Hunnables in my family tree.  My great grandmother was Edith Hunnable of Bocking, Essex. She married Arthur Shead in Finchingfield, Essex. She was the daughter of Hunnable and Bearman in Braintree.

I don't have all my family tree specifics right in front of me.  But I would love to compare notes with you on the Hunnable family. I actually have a few pictures of my Hunnable forebearers.

Hope you folks don't mind me chipping in but I'm wondering if any of you are related to a Hunnable I knew?

I don't know his first name because to me as a 15 and 16 year old lad he was Mr Hunnable.

The fellow in question was a Teacher at the Hoffmann Manufacturing Company Chelmsford Essex, makers of Ball and Roller Bearings.  Hoffmann's had a school attached where 15 year olds who were waiting for their 16th birthday to start an Apprenticeship spent one day a week, the rest of the week in various departments.

I was at the school 1949 to 1950 but of course Mr Hunnable was there before and after those years, I recall that he was a very religious person.

Concentrating currently on:
Essex: Card, Harris, Stowell, Theobald/Tibbles & Turner.
Norfolk: Beale, Cork & Dalton.
Yorkshire: Oswald Sturdy birth/baptism c1708, Oswald where the devil are you?
