Hancock marriage
« on: Tuesday 24 June 14 15:23 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find a marriage for John Hancock to Ann ? There is one in the parish of Melksham for the right time frame but they have their children in Melksham whereas my couple are from Corsham. There are a lot of children from 1784 to 1806. Phoebe born 1803 is my ancestor, I really don't think the Melksahm couple are my John & Ann. The marriage date could be 1780?
Thanks

I've had a good look and I can't find anything to help, are you sure about Phoebe, can't find anyone in the area with phoebe as a first name, they could have married in milk sham, as it said it was Ann's parish, and melksham isn't that for from corsham.

My only suggestion is to check out whether john was born in corsham, as I say if Ann came form melksham she would have been married from there, irrespective of where she was going to live!
