Haycock/Barker in Northampton
« on: Wednesday 05 November 14 20:55 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone has any information of insitutions in Brixworth in 1950's?

My Great Grandfather is Charles Samuel Blower Barker who married Amy Eveline Haycock in 1922 in Northampton.

Amy Eveline then died in 1955 in Brixworth, Northamptonshire.

From speaking to family, i know she was in some kind of institution when she died as my Great Grandfather had met somebody else and had 2 children by the time she died in 1955.

He then remarried in the same month in 1955 to my Great Grandmother Annie Dorothy Lucas (who had also been widowed by this point in time and was a Kirby by birth).

I have no idea if i can find out where Amy Eveline Barker was when she died other than looking for her death certificate.

Could anyone shed any light?

Thanks
Carly

Brixworth itself is/was a fairly small village, I can't see there being any institutions there.

Having said that,I didn't realise how many parishes it covered..........see here!
