Clean up these old soldiers please.
« on: Sunday 16 November 14 00:03 GMT (UK) »
Is it possible to remove the few cracks and make these chaps a bit clearer. Don't know who the man on the right is but the one on the left is from my Cornish rellies.

All help most gratefully received. :)

Morning!

Here's a very quick rough edit for you, just to start off.

There appears to be a fair bit of compression noise in your original - if you can save it with less compression (a higher quality) then there will be a lot more detail around the faces.

You can see blocky digital noisy things when you zoom in on the original.  :P

Yes - but  I didn't know what it was.  I did wonder how a huge photo scanned at 600dpi could end up being such a small registration on screen - 84.93.

Wish I could understnad these things - people try to teach me, but . . . . . . . .  :-[ :-\    :D

I didn't realise myself it was compression noise until I noticed the tiny file size :)
