Edward Wilson - 1911 census

I am trying to find my grandfather on a 1911 census with no luck!  He was born in 1889 in Goole but by 1901 the family had moved to Stanley Ferry near Wakefield.  He is not included with the family on the 1911 census.  He married in 1912 in Stanley to my grandmother Catherine Miriam Steadman.  It says on the marriage certificate he was a Bachelor with an occupation of a Fitter.  Would love to know where he was between 1901 and his marriage.  Any help is much appreciated.  regards Sue
