I am looking for any information relating to John Robert Armstrong born c1885.

He married Dinah Dickinson (Born Jan 1889) at Raughton-Head, Cumberland on 15th Decemeber 1912 & had a son together, John Cecil Armstrong (Born 2nd January 1913).

John Robert was born to John (Born Sebergham, Cumberland c1855) & Elizabeth Armstrong (Born Cumberland c1860).

Does anyone have any further information on him?

You seem to have found his parents, but not by getting a birth cert, or you would have a definite year of birth. That implies you have found him on some censuses! Thus will probably already know if he had siblings etc.
Can you tell us what censuses you have found him on, any other info you have, and what info it is about him that you are seeking? (you seem to have his birth, parents, marriage etc already) Then we wont spend time duplicating and going over old ground

lizdb, the information has come from a family tree my mother has put up on Ancestry. Not checked on any census' for exact birth dates. I'm afraid I have no other information on him.

The same John Robert (as in the 1891 census quoted) is still with his father John in 1901. Seems to fit with your detail of his marriage at Raughton Head:

Barbara - on the 1st post it states parents of John Robert Armstong are John and Elizabeth ...you have John and Ellen on both your posts ...so I presume it is the wrong family ?...but Escortmad hasn`t stated as much ??

The reason it's here is due to me having a birth location of Lancashire for John Robert Armstrong.

Will investigate further on the marriage name

By the looks of it, he was married to Ellen & not Elizabeth as it all seems to tie in with what's above.

Just found that John Robert's father John was christened on 30th April 1854 in Sebergham, father Andrew & mother Ann
