(What's a bit of a coincidence is that I believe a James Russell married a Thurza GALE ; reg in Dorchester in Q2 1869). Maybe  :P

Sorry  :-\ my mistake, Maria and Kate are together in the 1891 census at Ref:RG12; Piece: 1652; Folio: 24; Page: 23;

Maria was born in 1851, Dorchester (although earlier censuses give her Birth as 1847  ::)).

Kate was born in c1871in Pewsey, Hampshire (??). "Ancestry" has transcribed her as "Visitor", but the Original only has a "tick" in the relationship box.

Later - 1901: Maria has remarried and Kate A is with her as a "Boarder"
