Rachel Huston/Houston was born around 1835 in Castledawson, Londonderry, Ireland. She married Henry Rogers from Coltrane, Victoria in 1875. Her father's name was J Huston. Can anyone help me find any information about her parents or siblings?
Rachel arrived in Australia in 1857 at Portland.
She was married to Henry in the Presbyterian church in Coleraine. Henry's other brother followed him to Australia in 1866. They were both born to Charles Rogers and Esther Duncan in Larah, County Cavan.

Welcome to Rootschat. Have you posted this on Donegal board for a reason?

Civil registration of births, deaths and Catholic marriages in Ireland started in 1864 (from 1845 for non-Catholic marriages- all far too early for Rachel's birth or her parents' marriage. To see if any church records for the family exist you'll need to know their religion.

Does Rachel's death or marriage certificate give any more details? parents, birthplace (may be somewhere near Castledawson), how long in Australia?
