I wouldnt complicate things. You have a family regularly christening children in a particular place. Unless you have any suggestion , evidence, or reason to believe they had other children in between that were christened elsewhere, I wouldnt even give it a thought.

I would suggest there was a high chance of a miscarriage in 1813/14 and another in 1820.
Try checking burial registers for a stillbirth, abortion or miscarriage in or around those years.

I have searched baptisims and burials for years 1812 through to 1815band nothing but will search again tomorrow

The only death I found was for james in 1811 age 11 weeks son to william and elizabeth morrison

All the children named in the original post were baptised at St Cuthbert & St Mary, Chester le Street.

Durham Records Online has burials there from 1558 onwards.

A burial search of 1815 +/- 20 years produces only four Morrison burials, three of which were of adults. The other is Catherine, born 1821, who is possibly their daughter.

Here it is, parents names not given, but she was 21 months old, which would make her birth pre-July 1821 when your Catherine was baptised. So could perhaps be the same one.

hi jenb , i have just looked at durham records on line and all that was brought up was burrials of 3 in the years 1784,1776, 1780 no catherine there were 2 elizabeths and one henry all for chester le street
