Hi Boo

I believe Jane married John Scaife in 1861 - no middle name mentioned.  She appears as a visitor in the same house just before they married (RG9/3710/98/26) & it looks like they emigrated to America in 1864, first to Illinois and then Pennsylvania (children named Margaret, William, Jane & Thomas)

I do have a couple of other potential leads on Margaret in that there are a couple of infant birth / deaths that I think could belong to her - Jane Ann Percival in 1870 & William in 1876.  There's also a Joseph I'm less convinced about but as its 1881 which is when she is missing from the census (but her husband is in Bishop Auckland having his ear bitten off!) I've ordered the cert for that too - I'll update the thread if these throw out anything promising.

Apparently its still a particularly localised North-East 'thing'... the Percivals were clearly trend-setters  ;D
