WOODLEY -GOSLINGS
« on: Friday 21 March 14 16:43 GMT (UK) »
Hi, wondered if someone could shed some new light on this for me please. Jeremiah Gosling married Ann Woodley 14.1.1782 Stoke Damerel. They went on to have 9 known children. Records show ANN WOODLEY GOSLING born 22.1.1793, baptised 9.2.1795. After that I lose her but there is a burial record showing these details--Ann Woodley Gosling-Duke Street buried 20.10 1821. At the side of the record is written "omitted at no. 1795 page 196. This all ties quite well but her death age is 64 giving a birth c1757. So is this my Ann or is there another born c 1757.

Thanks

John

Could the record relate to mother Ann rather than the daughter?

If the daughter married - any death would be under her married name

CaroleW, that would make sense. Ann was baptised 1763 so she may well have been born c1757, she was the daughter of John Woodley and Rachael Higman.

Thanks

John
