Date & Restoration of Photo

Hi, Third (and last one for the time being) request for date info and restoration of the attached photo.  It may be of William Steele and Eleanor Liddell (liddle) in Stamfordham / Whittingham (Northumberland) but they died in the 1880/1890 and the photo looks to be about that time (is it earlier)?

Late 1870s it looks like, but please show the whole thing, uncropped, so we can see the outer corners. Also please scan in colour, as tone is a clue. And very important if there is any design on the back could we see that too.

Hi, Thanks for the efforts/info so far.  The back of the photo is attached.  The actual photo is a sepia (brown stained) colour with a thin, white border all around.  There really is little/no information in the colour or border.  I've had a quick search for the photographer (Jackson & Plews, Dawson Street, Crook) and while there are a couple of links on the web, there is not a lot of info about dates

Agree with China.
The long bodice was a mid 1870's-early 1880's style.
The square cornered cardstock was superseded in 1875 so may be old stock being used up.
So mid-late 1870's.

Yes, - I'd agree 1870's. I've got a silver colloidon print, (on glass) of my Great Grandparents, taken in Swansea in the early 1860's, and the clothing styles look different.
