George Pagan - Defender of the Alamo
« on: Wednesday 23 October 13 16:25 BST (UK) »

I was told as a child that,George Pagan born abt 1800 in Scotland was my Ancestor and that he left Scotland to live in the USA. I was also told he was a defender of the Alamo.

Does anybody have any information about George or is this just one of those family Tall story's.

Hi - have you seen the info on Googling his name that says he was b 1810 (but not where, unfortunately) & was a resident of Natchez, Mississippi?

Can't find a record of his b in Scotland, though.

Hi, - I have had a look on Google and it looks like my family story is true!

I will have to do more searching for George Pagan to find out about him and his place of birth.

          Thank for your help.
