Does anyone have any information on the above it may have been a childrens home where my husbands grandfather was an inmate age 14 in 1901?

there was a home for orphan boys in eardisley, according to the local history site it was at The Holme, almost opposite the tram inn, between 1885 and the 1920's.  Originally as a private charity and later under the Hereford board of guardians.

st mary Magdalene is the church, still active.

Hi Mike, thanks for the reply, on searching the net I found The Holme was an orphanage for Orphans and destitute boys and part of the Eardisley Estate owned by the Perry -Herrick family it was auctioned off in 1918. There was also a post on this website where someone had researched with the Eardisley local history society and apparently no records survive apart from the census. Thanks again for your information, much appreciated.
