Newspaper Report on Inquest held 16 May 1889 in Bristol
« on: Thursday 18 September 14 10:33 BST (UK) »
I have just received a death registration for James Mellard who died as a result of an accident.  An inquest was held on 16 May before the Coroner Henry S. Warborough in Bristol.  Can anyone help me find a report on this??

Hi Rosemary

I can't view the whole report, but it's in The Western Daily Press dated 17th May 1889.

His name is given as MILLARD aged 60 (is that the one?)

The poor chap fell down a lift shaft at Messrs Reynold's iron warehouse.

Hi again,

No sorry I can't Rosemary. It's on the British Newspaper Archive and I can only view the bit of it that is on the Genes Reunited site. I have to be a Platinum Member and I am only a paltry Gold member!
I may be wrong, but I think the BNA is a subscription site?

Regards

Thanks to Old Bristolian and others, but I jumped the gun and took out a subscription to Newspaper Archives and found it.  Wish I'd known about Find My Past.  having this, as I have a subscription .  Oh well.
Thanks again folks.
