Yulalee Ruth Bishop

just trying to find some information about a friend's Mum but can only find a marriage.Was wondering if anyone could help me with confirmation of her birth so I can get some info on her parents. It shouldn't be difficult to pick her out as it appears that her name was 'Yulalee Ruth Bishop' born Norfolk 1919 - possibly Norwich. I have a marriage for her in Norwich in 1940 to a Herbert E J Hemmings. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Has your friend got the marriage cert with her father's name on it?

I checked the whole of freebmd and her marriage is the only entry with that name.

May have been born abroad and returned to England at an early age?

Is the first name a variant spelling of the more usual (but still rare) "Eulalie"? Perhaps worth checking under that one?

Hmmm... still can't see anything relevant.  Your friend will need that marriage cert I think. Does the friend have any knowledge at all of his/her grandparents?

For what it's worth the birthdate given on Yulalee Ruth Hemmings' 1982 death registration is 24 Sept 1919.

Thanks everyone for trying to enlighten me! The only other bits of information I have are that Yulalee's father was 'George Bishop' & her mother's Christian Name was 'Ethel'.  I will e mail her & see if there is anything else at all to go on. Thanks again.
