I was wondering where would I go to look for a picture of my relative who was in ww1 and died whilst serving. did they record pictures of soldiers? his name was Frederick Pinfold 1895- 2nd October 1915.
BEECH- Warwickshire, England
JACKSON- Aston,Birmingham
PINFOLD- Warwickshire, England
TORRES- Barcelona, Spain
GOŅI- Navarra, Spain
OLAVE- Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain

I think the only chance you have would be via your family - ask around your elderly (even distant) relatives.

Sometimes local newspapers carried a pic of a casualty at the time , perhaps there is a local archive that may help.

I think it was up to relatives to provide the photos for obituaries.
