Hi, Im trying to get some information regarding my maternal gggg grandmother Mary Ann Holmes.
She had a child Elizabeth Jane to a John French in 1859. I can not find any marriage to French or anyone else. I don't know whether she was born here or not.

Was Mary Ann HOLMES also known as Mary Ann BIRD?

John FRENCH and Mary Ann nee BIRD had a daughter Louisa born at Salisbury 26 Nov 1862, then the family moved further north to the Upper Wakefield area.

Elizabeth FRENCH aged 19, daughter of John FRENCH, married William Fredrick WHITE at Balaklava 28 Jul 1879.   Birth registrations for their children name mother as Elizabeth Jane FRENCH.

John FRENCH with wife Mary Ann BIRD were the family who moved to near Balaklava.

Mary Ann FRENCH nee BIRD died in Victoria in 1917.

There is an entry in BISA for John FRENCH who married Mary Ann BIRD but has less info than we have found here.
