Gilbert's Circus

Does anyone have any information about the origins/founders/proprietors of Gilbert's Circus, which was apparently well known in Norfolk around the 1900s?

More generally (and probably more optimistically), I am trying to trace information about the family and ancestors of Henry Walpole Gilbert who was born around 1847 and by the time of the 1901 census was living at 15 Gordon Road, Norwich.

Was there any connection between this branch of the Gilbert family and Gilbert's circus?

A good friend of mine who died a few years back Mrs Valerie Dean (nee Gilbert) originally from grimsby told me that her fathers family was involved with a world famous Circus, im not to sure of all the details but i hope this helps..
