I might have a lead on Annie! :)

After trying yet again to find some sort of reference to an Amy Alice Clack and yet again getting nowhere, I suddenly wondered if her last name might have been Clark and not Clack, and perhaps it was an error in transcription. So I started searching for Amy Clark (putting in her middle name didn't give many results) and I found one record that might be promising... in the 1881 census, there is a 1 year old Amy Clark living with her parents and two siblings. Her father's name is John E Clark, and her mother's name is... wait for it... Annie Clark!! :) The only thing is, her place of birth is listed as Chelsea, and I have my Annie's place of birth as Canning Town... but Chelsea is still in Middlesex, so not too far to rule out by any means :) If this is the correct Amy Clark I'm looking for, then perhaps she called herself Annie after her mother? I think it warrants further investigation at least :)

Maybe, maybe not.
Annie Clark is not an unusual name, after all. So there are bound to be loads around.

I think it is Annie Clack you should be looking for
Her p.o.b. is consistent - until you purchase one of the children's birth certs you won't be certain of her maiden name
also it is quite possible "Amy" is a transcription error on the marriage reg
It would be interesting to see what the name is on the marriage cert

The Annie Clack found  with her brother George in 1891 and with brother and sister and mother Hannah in 1901 looks (to me) like she is the Annie who is listed as Albert's wife on census

1881 census has a 2 wk(think its week -will have another look)old Annie brooks - but also in same dwelling is George & wife Rachel Clack and daughter Hannah Muspratt
Here's where the complication is
I think this is how it is???
Hannah Muspratt -I think- is Hannah Clack who is the mother of Annie, George & Rosie Clack in 1901
Hannah Muspratt is listed as daughter of George  & Rachel Clack in 1881
I think Hannah Muspratt is the daughter of William Henry Muspratt & Rachel Wheeler.
William Henry Muspratt died in 1861 and his wife Rachel married George Clack

Need to do a little more searching on this

What do you think??

[quote1881 census has a 2 wk(think its week -will have another look)old Annie brooks - but also in same dwelling is George & wife Rachel Clack and daughter Hannah Muspratt][/quote]

The original1881    image   has a   single  line  between Annie Brooks aged 2 weeks  and George Clack   indicating there are 2  families  living  in same  dwelling,    Annie  is  daughter to Henry and Mary Brooks
