Hi, Looking for a birth in New York c1866/67 of a Margaret SPRAWL, mother Sarah. She appears in the UK 1871/1881 census aged 4 & 14 born NY.

Hi John,

Think I'm right in saying that New York didn't require statewide vital registration until 1881, so birth records may be hit or miss before then which is probably why no one has replied so far.
