Bertram A Hale (retired) Bertram C Hale (retired and Hilda L Hale lived at 1413 Newport Avenue. Victoria BC in 1957 (That is the same address as on the death certificate for Mother Mary)

1958 Bertram A Hale and Louise L Hale (Teacher) were living at that same address. Bertram C Hale is now listed as an accountant. A Jessie Smith (Retired also resides there)

1968 Hilda still listed as a teacher at that same address -  Bertram C Hale as a municipal clerk. (No Bertram A Hale)

It will take me a while to work through it all and I will need to go to my local library to look at the 1911 census - sorry that I asked for that information.

Sandra can I ask one more thing. Have you found any record of the marriage of Hilda Louise Suddes to Bertram Charles Hale.

 UK Register of foreign and overseas British Subjects show Bertram C Hale and Hilda L Hale married 30 Jul 1935 All Saints Church. Kobe, Japan. Hilda was 28 years old and Bertram was 34 years. Bertram was a shipping travel agent.

Bertram born 1900 and aged 31 years and single had arrived in Canada 21 September 1931 on the Empress of Britain. Southampton to Quebec. Employed by Thos Cook and Sons - Tourist Agency - Father B A Hale Fungshire Oaklands Wellwyn.
