Hi Mike,

Marriages - Radford St Peter
28 Jul 1845, John FLETCHER & Sylvia DAYKIN

There is no need to get the certificate. There may be someone on RootsChat who can look up the parish register for you, or you could order a copy of the parish register from the Nottingham Archives (much cheaper than buying the certificate).

Alexander, yes copies can be obtained from the Notts Archives .

A certificate from the GRO would be cheaper...

Hi,

I can have a look at the marriage in the archives for you next time I'm there sometime over the next few weeks if you don't mind waiting and won't cost you a penny.

AAhh yes Alexander, but you risk the quality of the micro fiche. Some of them are simply unreadable.
Wendy has come up trumps, lovely lady...  ;D

Plus I have only looked at Microfiche in libraries and through their readers. How would I view one at home? :-\

Hi Larkspur,

You don't get a fiche just a copy of the marriage on A4 paper it comes out the same as a certificate would. If its in good readable condition I can get a copy and email it to whoever wants a copy.
