In the 1921 census at 135 rue Jacques in the Jacques Cartier district of Montreal
Edward, wife Charlotte and daughters Amelia (Emilea) and Florence.

Amelia Jane married in the Anglican Saint Simon church on June 4, 1923 to John Henry Leedham.  I can find the baptisms of 2 girls and a boy
L.A. in 1924 (female) with Charlotte as a witness Methodist Saint Paul
F.I. in 1927 (female) with F. and E. Webster as witnesses - perhaps Amelias siblings  Anglican Saint Aidan
J.H. in 1929 (male) Anglican St. Jude

1963 Amelia was living with William and Olive Burton

Link to obituary for Olive Myrle Burton who was the daughter of Amelia Jane.  On her 1925 baptism Anna Beatrice Webster and Edward E. Webster were witnesses.

Edward Ernest married Anna Beatrice Rochon on 21 Sept 1912 at St. Michael Archange

added:
1949 voters list for 2242 Wilson Avenue Montreal
Mrs. A.B. Webster - widow with
Ruth E.
Dorothy M.
Robert John - accountant.
There are baptisms for the girls in 1914 and 1918.  I'm assuming that Robert is also a child.

Hi Cosmac and Sandra,

Many thanks for taking the time to help me move forward with this family, much appreciated.

I am in England and don't know anything about researching canadian family history so I wonder, would either of you happen to know what information is on a canadian death certificate, does it state the deceased's parents names? (I am trying to confirm the parents of Edward Webster).
Also if I wanted to order a death certificate for Edward Webster (1940 death) how would I go about this?

Chris

I would try the cemetery for the information you are looking for.
BMDs and the release of information in Canada is a provincial responsibility and rules change from province to province.  In Ontario you do have to have a direct line connection to obtain death certificates past 1940, in British Columbia that information is publically available into the 1980s.  I'm not sure the rules for Quebec.  The parish record did not give any information as to cause of death, etc.
The cemetery is probably the fastest and cheapest route to try.
