Sorry Milliepede , forgot to ask, I was looking on FamilySearch and came across a record for a Maud Heathcote, her marriage to Charles Moores, was it the norm to give fathers name on the marriage cert even though he died five years earlier.
John Knowles Heathcote`s daughter Maud wed 9/12/1905, he died 1900 ?

Hi John

Yes it was the norm to put the fathers name even if he was deceased.  Sometimes it's noted on the certificate father deceased sometimes not - even if he was.

Marriage in Northwich Sep 1867 Thomas Lightfoot/Ann Walker.

The 1851 seems to fit.  I wonder where Henry Parkes came from, maybe Elizabeth had him previous.

William Walker 38
Elizabeth Walker 30
Henry Parkes 9
Ann Walker 7
Joseph Walker 5
Mary Walker 2
John Walker 1

Hi Milliepede, just found some old notes on Henry Parks Walker, his original name was William Parks Walker but dropped the William because apparently he was born before the couple wed.
In an earlier post I asked you about another child Ann, in your findings you had not mentioned her and I can not find anything but as I said earlier I do have this record, not sure what to do with it at the moment, keep or delete, what a dilemma ?? May I ask what you think.
Thanks again

John

I found Ann married to Thomas Lightfoot - see above posts.  She wasn't at home with the family at 17 so wouldn't have been listed.  I think she was out on her own as a servant - will check  :)

1861

Ann Walker 17 servant with the Fogg family in Barnton.

Barnton is where her husband and children were born so probably where she met Thomas.
