I am looking for the birth/baptism of Jane Marshall born c1820 Ayrshire.  I know the following

In 1841, 51 and 61 census, all born Ayrshire she is living with John and her children in Chorley,Lancashire.
In 1871 census Jane was in Scotland 106 Ardgorren St, Glasgow, with her sons Yates and Robert. They are living with her daughter Mary J and her family. Jane is a widow and "born in Ayrshire".
1881 census 42 Harrison St, Salford, Lancashire living with her widowed daughter and family.

Death--

I have looked on scotlands people for Jane  with no luck, and I have searched for William Marshall gardener again with no luck.

Has anyone any ideas please.

Hi and welcome to Rootschat.

Have you looked in Lancashire on the 1841 Census for a potential candidate for Jane's father  William Marshall?
Just thinking that perhaps his work brought his family to the area :-\
Looby :)

Hi Looby,
thankyou for responding.
I have looked in the 1841 England and Scotland census but haven't managed to pin him down.
