Could anyone help find Ellen Wright in 1891 please? Born in Patrington area in 1850 she is a Laundress in 1881 and 1901. In her younger days was a servant in the east hull villages.
She has a child Thomas born 1876 and Arthur born 1890, both appear on the 1901 census with her but no sign of all three people in 1891. I have even manually checked the 1891 census for the addresses they were living at in 1881 and 1901 but no luck.
In 1901 she is living with a Thomas Stow whom she eventually marries. She is possibly prone to fibbing. In 1901 she claims to be a Widow but so far we have no evidence of her getting married before. On marriage cert to Thomas Stow she claims Spinster. Also in 1881 she states her son Thomas is her brother but his birth cert shows she is his mother. No father on the birth cert.
I've looked everywhere but no sign of her in 1891. There is an Ellen Wright in essex who is a burlesque dancer with a son Tom born in Hull but this surely cant be her
Age and birth location doesnt match and youngest son is missing.
Can anyone help please? I just cant seem to see her in 1891 despite using various spellings and surnames.
