« on: Monday 06 October 14 18:49 BST (UK) »
I have posted on the Shropshire forum a photo of a grave stone and on the left hand side it say of the camp, now i have a birth cert of another ancestor it reads where and when born : 8/1/1870 The Camp, ADBASTON. The registration dis is Stafford sub dis Gnosall, now I'm wondering if any of you charming people could tell me what is the Camp is it a street, District, I would love to know and any help to point me in the right direction would be welcome.

Hi George ,

I've found a reference on the 1861 Census to The Camp , Village/Town - Flashbrook.

looking at the Stafford and district map 1898. The Camp is on the crossroads between Ellerton Hall, Pickstock, Parkheath and Warton Grange. It also lies close to Flashbrook wood and manor and is almost certainly The Camp farm as listed here.
