Hi

Have you looked at the  Registers of Electors at Limerick City Library? A quick look for the 1885 register listed a John Adams  ( I know names slightly different) at Emmet place in Limerick. There are other registers for other years and also a link to the Limerick Archives for other registers.

I found these registers  extremely helpful  and  gained a lot of new leads

Thanks for that Diggie, the link led to more links that may be of help. Was in Limerick 2 months ago for a genealogy day and came home empty handed on family tree info. First time in Limerick and highly impressed with the city and planning to head down again with more time to explore and follow up at St Mary's COI cathedral which holds the records of St Munchians
