Reece family London

I'm trying to find the Reece family who lived in the London area.

Rebecca Clements (various spellings of both names) born in Wiltshire married William Reece (c1787-1833) in Acton, in 1815. They had a son John Reece (c1819 – 1875) born Acton. If Rebecca was still alive in 1841 I'd like to find her in the census but haven't had any luck so far. Thanks for any help.

Hi Chempat - the information I have for this couple came from an online tree which gave the info - Rebecca Clemmonds - Birth 1795 in  Chippenham, Wiltshire. I wasn't able to contact the person who put the tree online (it may be an old discarded attempt) so I'm trying to check the facts before putting them on my own tree. I've researched up to the one child I have for the couple - John Reece 1819 – 1875 but don't have any information about his siblings. In 1841 John was living in Chelmsford with his wife Eliza - no children - so there's no way of knowing whether Rebecca was still alive. Also I don't have Eliza's maiden name. Thanks for your reply. There are other possible siblings being christened in St Mary, Acton to William & Rebecca Reese/Reece

Thank you Rosie. It seems unlikely, though not impossible, that there would be another Reece couple with the same Christian names baptising their babies in Acton at that time. However, there is no John - who is the ancestor I'm interested in. Also, one of the censuses has John's sister Ann visiting them and she isn't in your list either. Now I'm beginning to suspect that maybe my John is not the son of William and Rebecca. I'm grateful to you for the information - maybe back to the drawing board!! Thank you Lesley

Do you mean the 1851 census, as the Ann there is a visitor, and married, so to one of his brothers, or a different census?
