Sarah Ann Matilda ( Tilly) Hindmarsh and Alexander Frederick David Greville

Tilly was my great grandfather William Henry Scott Hindmarsh's sister. I would like to know about any of this couple's descendants - anything at all but especially if there are any old documents or photos from the 1800s

From the marriage in 1854 in Sydney I can't find any associated births (yet) but they seem to have had:

Gertrude A Greville who died in Sydney in 1867  (mum as Matilda, so be cautious until the birth record can be found)

Kate A Greville who died in Paddington in 1870 (mum as Sarah A M)

Tilly died on 5th April 1867 at Waverley

Did you know that Alexander seems to have married twice?

First to Tilly in 1854 and then to an Elizabeth T Gunther in 1869 in Mudgee, New South Wales.  Alexander and Elizabeth had:

a daughter Elizabeth born 1870 in Paddington
son James Macauley Greville, born 1879 (in Woollarha) and who died in 1880 (in Paddington)
son Harold L G Greville who died in 1893 in Woollarha

Jo as was mentioned in one of your other threads about the family in Australia, there are many online trees and perhaps when you visit your library you could check them.  One includes a photo of Alexander and certified copy of his baptism.

Unusual name but it is actually Woollahra

Jo google Alexander's full name and there is a little more information.

Also search TROVE digitised newspapers and you will find his death notice.

I suggest you search TROVE using "Alexander Greville" as you will get more results that using his full name.
