Canada Voters List shows a Lily Hollings Verdun-Lasalle Montreal Quebec 1949 - 207 Second Avenue. (No Oliver listed)

Interesting because Ronald and Joan were at 127 2 E Ave in 1957.

Perhaps Lily died between 1949 - 1957  ???

Some Montreal Gazettes available on Google News archives - time consuming but it might be worth having a look through to see if you can see any obituaries.

Hi xinia,

1921 Canadian Census has Oswald 27, brakeman with his parents Oliver and Margaret
and siblings Olive, Harold, and Henrietta. No sign of his wife Violet.
http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/census/Pages/census.aspx

The census is free to search via ancestry, you just have to be registered.

Cheers,
DB

Hi xinia,

Oswald's father Oliver dies at the Montreal General Hospital age 78, August 7, 1936 and is
buried at Lakeview Cemetery, Pointe Claire, Quebec.

Perhaps Lily may also be there. Might be worth an email to them to see if they'll do a
look up.
http://lakeview-memorial.ca/About-Us/

The last sighting for Lily in the Montreal Directories is 1956. So her death could be 1956/1957.

Cheers,
DB

I have found an obit... that could be the son of Ronald and Joan........  checking it out.

It is in the correct area.. but was as recent as 2008 so cannot post details...
It says I could restore the guest book on it but that would cost 40 canadian dollars... whooops

so will have to go the long way.. pm if you want details.. :)
