It wont let me find it! It wants me to pay £6 just to view it....

Is this the potential death entry for Mary Reid in 1866? This is where you hit the pay to view on SP. You need 6 units to access (1 to view search results and 5 to view the image). If you are getting units for the first time, there is a minimum order of £6 for 30 units, letting you view up to 5 images on line.

Another potential child for John Reid and Marianne, from the 1851 census:

Jas Wardlow Reid,  scholar, 14, b. East Indies
Address: Argyle Street, Row, Dumbartonshire

It is obviously a school from the listing. James W Reid relationship to head is down as 'Sn cousin'. Head of household is a Gilbert Wardlaw, teacher b. Glasgow, aged 52

See what I mean, another potential entry for a Reid child in 1851 (where were they this lunchtime!) I am wondering now whether the middle initial for Mary C Reid could be Christina given the age of this child in 1851?

A Christina Reid, 10 b. East Indies is showing a boarder in a household headed up by four Miller ladies, all teachers. Address Woodside Crescent No 8, Barony

Added: That death entry on SP for a Mary C* Reid, if I add Chris*, it still shows one entry. There is a maximum number of letters on the index on SP. I think that the 1851 entry above is likely to be Mary C. Reid  :)

A brief death notice for Jane Smith Wardlaw in the Glasgow Herald - Nov 18, 1864. Pg 5, towards the bottom of the 3rd column in from the r/h side http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=GGgVawPscysC&dat=18641118&printsec=frontpage

Back to Ralph Wardlaw, not sure if you have come across his portrait (painted by Sir Daniel Macnee)

Thanks for all your help with the Wardlaws!
I have now found Marianne Reid in 1881 transcribed as Marianne BIRD, and in 1871 she has been transcribed as much older, having been born in 1791 not 1805!!! In both instances she is living with Jane W Reid born in India so it must be the right person!

Can I ask for a little more help please?
I am now considering obtaining some credits for "Scotlands people" so that I can buy some images of records associated with the Wardlaw/Reids. However, on searching for Ralph Wardlaw's death, which I understand from a google search took place in 1853, I find that he is not there!!!
Would somebody be kind enough to do a search for him and let me know where I am going wrong, as surely this death must have been recorded??!!!?? ???
Many thanks again
