Hi hazelbury,
have you thought of checking the list on "Your Surnems Interests"?  The link is at the bottm of this page-
Adding your Masters family there might give you contact with someone who misses this post also.

Worth a try.

Thanks Charlotte,
But if you have a look, the name Masters is already there.

Your post about Masters in Kent was quite a while ago so maybe you have some more info by now.
I have Masters  from Kent in my family,I haven't traced them as far back as yours so I don't know if there's a connection. My great x2 grandad was Henry Joseph Masters 1820-1886,he was born in Chatham. His father was John Henry,I don't have any dates for him but sure he came from Kent. Let me know if you think they could be related.

I made a mistake, Henry Joseph's father was Matthew Masters and I think his father was Martin,so maybe we have a connection.

Hi ekba,You say that Martin Masters was your great grandfather, are you sure that's right because if Martin was born in the 1700s that's only 2 generations before you? The Martin Masters in my family was born around the same time as yours but he is my great x4 grandad. Between him and me are Matthew Masters,Henry Joseph Masters,Catherine Sarah Masters, who became Bunch and one of her sons was my grandad.
I can give you more info on my Masters,I just don't have it to hand at the moment.
Please keep in touch. Regards Susan
