Norfolk Wills Pre-1858
« on: Monday 31 March 14 17:24 BST (UK) »
Evening,

I am reading about the probate arrangements in Norfolk, prior to 1858. In the areas I have researched, wills have been proved by diocesan or peculiar courts. But I notice in Norfolk there were two archdeaconry courts.

If an individual lived in the jurisdiction of the Archdeaconry of Norwich, is it possible that their will may appear in any of the courts of the Archdeaconry of Norwich, the Diocese of Norwich and the Prerogative court of Canterbury?
