baptism 28-11-1858 The first Harriet was baptised on the same date as her sister Emma.
This Harriet was buried 21 Dec 1858 aged about 1 month.
The family then baptised another Harriet 2 years later, this was a normal occurance, to name a living child after a dead one.

Hi everyone, I am sorry to come across a bit confused but can anyone explain who Is who ?
Larkspur has helped me a lot & gave me the 1841 census, George Thompson age 75,
Maria 35, I would like to know who exactly these are is George the grand father ? who is the Maria 35 ?, George Thompson aged 12 ( I know about), Charles 3 months, then Benjamin 50 yrs old, who I think must be the father of my George, and then comes Elizabeth 40 (spouse) another Charles 12 and Benjamin 8yrs old, I really would appreciate their positions in life i.e. Head, Spouse, G/Father, son & daughter, I do not want to jump to conclusions on this one, I have done that before & got it so wrong.

Thanks again
John

Hi John

In 1851 census of South Collingham Maria Thompson is aged 47 unmarried and living with Charles aged 10

There is this marriage 11.3. 1788
George Thompson of SC aged 27, bac, gardener, married Mary Bradley of NC aged 22 spin

Benjamin & Maria were perhaps children of that marriage (the ages fit ) Benjamin died 19.3. 1874 aged 84.

Benjamin married 28.10.1817 to Elizabeth Turgoose at North Collingham

It looks to me that George & Charles were illegitimate children of Maria.
