Hi Peter,

There is a photo from 1906 here but I think you would need to contact Durham Records office to purchase a clear copy:  http://www.rootschat.com/links/0stc/

I see from your posts on other forums that you have already received some photographs and information from his family - are you looking for anything specific that we can help you with?

Jean

Thank`s all of you.
I am trying to find a clear and sharp photo of this gentleman but that seems to be impossible.Captain Mahony`s grand daughter that now lives in Angus Dundee Scotland has only a painting of him but no photos.Though`t maybe someone else had.I am writing an article about him for a historic magazin and that`s the reason for wanting a sharp photo.

Soon coming up an article about this gentleman and his revolver in the largest gun magazine in Sweden. He was a true hero serving his country.99 years on tuesday since the German bullet struck him in the shoulder ending his life.

[/size Have you tried - Durham County Record Office (just google it) it is a bit of a fiddle of a site but they do have photographs of Frederich H Mahony - my Grand Uncle, the photo's are able to be purchased.
The references to the photos are as follows
D/DLI 2/8/57 (8),  D/DLI 2/8/57 (9), D/DLI 2 /8/57 (10), D/DLI 2/8/64 (16), D/DLI 2/8/80, D/DLI 2/8/82 and D/DLI 2/8/90
if you have difficulties please get in touch as the site is quite fiddly.
