I have found a baptism in Leek with the same parentage William Fisher and Mary:

Could this be a possibility?

Thank you all....

Jackie: William Fisher was a bricklayer, could be her.

KGarrad: Yes, I have Mary Ann dead in my tree in 1858 and they are her parents in Swan Lane.

Would Mary Ann's death cert state her mother's maiden name?

Ian

Death certificates in England & Wales simply show deceased's name (and age after 186?), last known address, address of death; cause of death, date of death.

The only names added are the informant - who may, or may not, be a relative.

Re.the baptism at Tipton, info from Freereg, but looking at the 1841 census details for the

family at Darlaston, I think these are the more likely candidates. Did you notice a Thos. Fisher 22

brickmaker? living next door to Wlm at Darlaston.

Thanks Jackie,
No, I didn't see Thos Fisher. I will have to look further into that family too.
Cheers.
